The MRA Research Group is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in the heart of Atlantic Canada's booming fishing industry that supplies the majority of North America's snow crab, Pandalid shrimp, mussels and live/canned lobster, as well as many other groundfish species, farmed products and marine plants. Since 1986, MRA has consulted to industry and governments at the harvesting, production and marketing levels. The principal consultant, Robin W. A. Rodger (MBA, FCMC) has taught international marketing courses and is past Director of the Commerce Program at Dalhousie University. He is also co-author of the recent book The Commercial Fisheries of the United States and Canada - 3rd edition. Mr. Rodger has undertaken major projects on fisheries resource development as well as new seafood product development and market development studies.  Company associates have training in biology and marine law.  Nova Scotia is also a major supplier of marine and fisheries surveillance devices.
